FAQ

Which Curriculum is followed?

Up to grade 8 students follow the CAPS aligned South African curriculum. From Grade 9 or the age of 15, tuition is offered in various International subjects at IGCSE, AS level and A level (Internationally accredited)

How big are the classes?

There are a maximum of 12 students per class. This allows us to give personal attention to each child, catering to their specific needs. Children are not all on the same level when it comes to learning.  Small classes allow our teachers to spend more time helping children who may have difficulty grasping a concept, or  offer extension activities to the academically stronger students.

What are GALC’s operating hours?

Glen Afric Learning Centre  offers full time tutoring between the hours of

7.30am and 4.00pm.

Afternoon classes will run from 2.30 pm to 4.00pm and are for students who require additional tutoring to supplement their present studies.

All classes will be organised into set periods with set time tables for given subjects.  Time tables will be published at the start of each term.  Terms will follow the generally accepted South African Private Schools terms, and will be published at the beginning of each calendar year.
